P&O-Orient Line ORCADES Deluxe First & Tourist Class Deck Plans w/ Interiors

Orient Line: A deluxe set of First and Tourist class deck plans with color-coding for the ORCADES.
The First Class plan opens to 24" by 27" and shows seven decks. It is dated 1959, a year before Orient and P&O joined forces, hence the new combined line name has been glued onto the covers.
Color photos emphasize the outdoors - Swimming Pool, Cricket Court, Children's Playroom, Outdoor Buffet, and Sun Deck, plus the Dining Room where a couple are feasting at a table set with gleaming Orient Line silver and china. There is a b&w photo of a cabin.
The Tourist Class plan opens to 22" by 26" and shows six decks. Black and white photos show the Lounge, Veranda Bar, Restaurant, and a two-berth cabin.
The ORCADES was the first of three new Orient Line ships launched after WW2 to replenish the ravaged fleet. At the time of her maiden voyage in 1948 she cut the sailing time between Southampton and Sydney from 36 to 26 days.
